Things You'll Need:
- 1 mango, peeled and diced
- 1 papaya, peeled and diced
- 1/2 cup peeled, diced cucumber
- 1/2 cup diced red pepper
- 1/3 cup diced red onion
- 1 tablespoon diced and seeded jalapeno
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
- 2 tablespoons Tequila OR 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- salt and pepper to taste
-
Step 1
Cinco de Mango Salsa!Peel, seed and chop your mango and papaya. Dice your cucumber. Remember, a "dice" is smaller than a "chop"! Chop your red pepper. Dice your Jalapeno and onion.
-
Step 2
Celebrate!Mix all ingredients together. Add your lime and tequila. Stir gently. Refrigerate until chilled. Salt and pepper to taste before serving. It's best to salt and pepper this salsa after it has had a chance to chill and for the flavors to meld.
-
Step 3
Fiesta! If you are serving this Cinco de Mango salsa to the "under 21 crowd", substitute balsamic vinegar for the tequila. It's a party, either way! Happy Cinco de Mayo!
