Brewers yeast is a well known natural treatmen for blemished skin. It's also used to help uneven skin tones, and oily or combination skin. Mixed with the oatmeal, which helps to clean out the pores, this is a great scrub for people with sensitive skin, or any skin type. Please note, the Brewer's yeast can not be substituted for, baking yeast will absolutely not have the same affect.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1/4 Cup of Brewer's Yeast
  • 1/4 Cup of Ground Oatmeal
  • Water
  1. Step 1

If you don't have ground oatmeal, grind up 1/2 cup of oats in a food processor or blender until it's the consistency of sea salt. It can't be too fine or it won't be able to scrub the skin properly.

  2. Step 2

Stir the yeast and oatmeal together, then add 1 teaspoon of water. Stir the mixture together, and continue adding a few drops of water at a time. Continue doing this until it gets the consistency of a thick paste, but make sure it's thin enough so that it will be able to spread fairly easily.

  3. Step 3

Before using the scrub, splash the skin with warm water, or scrub gently with a towel dampened with warm water. If you have large pores, or blackheads, I would suggest using water that's hot, but not too hot to irritate the skin.

  4. Step 4

Massage the scrub into the skin in a circular motion, then wait about 10 minutes before rinsing the scrub off with warm water.
