If you want to share your vacation, wedding or family photos, then making an online slide show is a way to present them with style. Not only can you send links to your photo slide show to all your friends, but you can post your online slide show on popular social networking sites like MySpace and Facebook as well. You can even add it to your blog.

Hosting and Sharing Photo Slide Shows

  1. Step 1

Open your web browser and go to the Photobucket website (see Resources).

  2. Step 2

Click the "join now" link. Create a user name and password; then click the "Next step" button.

  3. Step 3

Fill out the fields with your personal information. The "cell phone" field is optional. Click the hyperlinks to read the "Terms of Use" and "Privacy Policy," and then click the button that reads "I accept. Sign me up!"

  4. Step 4

Read the sponsor ads, or skip them by going to the top right of the screen and clicking the "login" link.

  5. Step 5

Click "Choose files" to upload files from your computer. Follow the on-screen instructions for selecting multiple files and upload your files.

  6. Step 6

Add titles or click "Skip this step now" to exit. You have the option of adding a title, description and tags for each photo. Only the "title:" field will show up in your slide show. If you decide to add titles, click "return to album" when you're finished.

  7. Step 7

Click the "slideshows" link. Add the images you want by clicking the green button in the lower-right corner of each picture. The pictures appear toward the bottom of your window when added to your slide show

  8. Step 8

Select the size you want your slide show to be and which framing element or type of transition you'd like to use.

  9. Step 9

Click the "3 save slideshow" button. Type in a name for your slide show and click "Save."

  10. Step 10

Pick your desired option(s) for sharing your slide show in the "Share this slideshow" section and have fun.

Tips & Warnings
  • Your titles can also be used as captions in your online slide show. You can remove unwanted pictures by clicking the red button on the photo in the "slideshow images" section.
  • Keep in mind that, as with all public photo sites, your pictures will be available for everyone to see unless you set your gallery option to private, which limits your sharing capabilities.
