How to Reboot a Toshiba 8200 Laptop Using a CD

Rebooting a Toshiba 8200 laptop using a CD will allow you to boot into a program or another operating system. You may want to reboot your Toshiba 8200 laptop to reinstall your operating system, test and use another operating system, or run a program installation during the reboot. Rebooting from the CD will allow you to format and set your computer back to its original settings.

Instructions

1. Insert a bootable CD into your Toshiba 8200 laptop. The disk drive is located on the right of the laptop when the screen is facing you.

2. Restart your computer. If you're using Windows, go to "Start," "Turn Off Computer" and "Restart."

3. Press "F12" during the boot process to reboot through the CD. Select "CD-ROM" from the boot options menu.
   If your Toshiba laptop is set to boot from CDs before the hard drive, you will be prompted to press any key to boot from the CD instead of the hard drive.

4. Proceed with the boot process for the program or operating system on the CD you wish to boot from. This will vary greatly depending on the CD's content.

5. Restart your computer when you're finished with the CD. If it's a program or operating system installation, the CD will automatically reboot your computer after the process is complete.

• Save all open files before inserting the bootable CD to prevent losing any work or freezing programs.
