Utorrent is a program used to download all kinds of media including video. Although video torrents can be viewed on a computer with no problem, in order to play on a DVD player they need to be converted into a special format. Converting Utorrent videos and burning them onto DVDs allows you to watch them on any kind of DVD player. The process is simple and allows you to make back up copies of all of your movies without any hassle.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • ConvertX to DVD
  • Utorrent files
  • DVD-R disk
  1. Step 1

Go to the VSO Software website (see resources) and download the trial version of the ConvertX to DVD program. Although the trial version embeds a watermark, it is still fully capable of converting and burning video files.

  2. Step 2

Install ConvertX and open the program. Go to "File" and click "Add Video Files." Locate the downloaded files from Utorrent. Open Utorrent and go to Options>preferences>directories, if you are unsure which folder the downloads are saved in. Click "Open" when you find the video file.

  3. Step 3

Click "Convert." Your video file will now be converted into a file format that will be compatible for a DVD. Wait until it completes. This process could take as long as 30 minutes depending on how big the file is.

  4. Step 4

Insert a blank DVD-R disk into the disk drive and click "Burn." This is shorter than the converting process and should only take 10 minutes.

  5. Step 5

Remove the disk and label it when the program states "Operation has been completed."

Tips & Warnings
  • Purchase the full version to disable the watermark that is on the trial version DVD copies.
  • Do not make unauthorized DVDs of copy righted material
