The Total Gym 1500 is a space-saving home exercise unit that lets you duplicate at home any movements you would normally do in a professional gym. When not in use, the Total Gym 1500 folds up to be stored in a closet of underneath a bed. Before you fold your Total Gym 1500, always check to make sure there are no loose parts that might fall off or miscellaneous items, such as weight plates, that have been placed on the Total Gym 1500 and might fall off as you fold it.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Remove the wing and leg pulley accessories from your Total Gym 1500 by pulling out the hitch pins that fasten them in place. Put the hitch pins back in place once you've removed the accessories; this way, the pins won't get lost.

  2. Step 2

Use your thumb to unclasp the spring-loaded O-ring holding the arm pulley cable in place, then clip the O-ring to the underside of the glide board.

  3. Step 3

Pull the C-shaped height-adjustment pin out of the height-adjustment column. Lower the rails carefully to rest on the back crossbar, then lower the height-adjustment column all the way down.

  4. Step 4

Pull out the spring-loaded pin on holding the height-adjustment column in place in the bracket at the base of the left rail.

  5. Step 5

Fold down the vertical height-adjustment column parallel with the glide board, then release the pin. Listen to make sure it snaps back into place.

  6. Step 6

Lift up at the center of the exerciser until it folds completely in half, taking care not to get your fingers caught in any moving parts as it folds.
