An office lounge is a place to get away from your desk for a few moments, grab a cup of coffee and take a moment to catch your breath. It can also be used for informal meetings. Office lounges must be functional, but they needn't be drab or boring. Stimulating colors and artwork keep workers alert, and a comfortable atmosphere allows them to take their minds off work and refresh their outlooks. Try to locate the lounge in a room with a window. Hang drapes that can be pulled if the sun shines in or after dark for privacy. Use a bright, solid color that compliments the wall color and the wood in the room.
