Instructions

    • 1

Pick up the wedding dress a few days before the wedding. If you pick it up a few weeks before, there is a greater chance that it will get wrinkled. The dress store will press or steam the dress for you.

    • 2

Keep the dress in the cardboard and tissue that the wedding store packed it in. This will keep the dress in a perfect shape before you wear it, and reduce wrinkles.

    • 3

Press the dress lightly on the day of the wedding in wrinkled areas, if needed. Use a cool, dry iron.

    • 4

Put a piece of white cloth between the iron and the dress when pressing, and use an iron mitt rather than an ironing board.

Tips & Warnings

  • Only certain materials can be pressed. Other materials must be steamed. Pressing can damage some fabrics. Do not try to iron your veil
