Design a website that kids will want to visit again and again. Make it colorful with lots of animated graphics. You can get free web graphics for kids online (see Resources). You can use these graphics and illustrations free for noncommercial websites. Make the website easy to navigate. A simple menu with a few basic categories is all you need. Suggested categories include "Games," "Fun Stories" and "Interactive Art."

Build your website for kids with the built-in web editing tools provided by your web host. These hosting services provided everything you need to design your website and upload the graphics and other files you'll need on the server to present your kids' website on the Internet. Make a folder on the desktop of your computer where all the files for your web page are saved. This makes it easier for you to access and manage them.
