Daemon Tools is a disc emulation program that allows the creation of virtual CD/DVD drives that can be used to mount and run image files, like BIN files, as if they were physical discs. The BIN file is generally one half of a two file package known as a BIN/CUE. The BIN file contains the data, while the CUE contains a tracklist or other structural information.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Download and install Daemon Tools.

  2. Step 2

Right click the Daemon Tools icon (a lightning bolt) in the Windows toolbar in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.

  3. Step 3

Select "Virtual CD/DVD-ROM" menu. Then select "Set Number of Devices" and select the number of virtual drives to be created. One should be sufficient.

  4. Step 4

Click on the Daemon Tools icon in the toolbar again and select the virtual drive that has just been created.

  5. Step 5

Locate the BIN file on the computer's hard drive and double click it. This will mount the image on the virtual drive.

  6. Step 6

Select "Start>My Computer" in Windows and then click on the virtual drive to open or run the file. This should only be necessary if Windows does not auto-run the virtual disc once it is mounted.
