How to Print a Web-Based Address Book
Microsoft Outlook, Google, Yahoo! and other websites offer web-based address books for account holders. These address books are automated, easy to use and can be synced with your mobile device or PDA. If you're the type of person who prefers to keep a printed version of your address book handy, there is a simple way to print your contacts in list form for easy reference. You can also do a few additional steps to make your printed address book into an actual bound book to keep in your purse or in your desk.

1
Open your web-based address book service and log on. Display your address list as you normally would when looking up a phone number.
-
2
Set your address list to display 20 or 25 entries per page. If you are given the option, add or deselect any fields of information that you do not need to print (such as an email address or fax number). Make sure that your cursor is set inside of the frame where the addresses are displayed (just click on one of the lines of information).

3
Go to the File menu on your web browser and choose "Print." Select the option to print "the selected frame" only. This way you will not have to worry about having ads and other information displayed on your printed address book. Select "Scale to Fit" or "Fit to Page" under your printer preferences if you are concerned that 25 entries will not fit comfortably on the page.
-
4
Print the first page of your address book, then click onto the next page and continue the printing process until all pages are printed.
-
5
If you want to print individual address cards (such as for a Rolodex), open each address book page individually, select the text you want to print and then choose "Print Selection" under your printing range options. Select the "4x6 photo" or "3x5 index card" size option under printer properties and choose "Fit to Page" again. Be sure that your printer is capable of feeding blank index cards for printing without getting jammed.

Tips & Warnings
Collate all of your printed 8 1/2 x 11-inch pages and insert them into a spiral bound book. This way you can add new pages to your printed address book when needed. To save paper, print your web-based address book on both sides of each page by selecting the printer option for "double-sided prints" or to "print on both sides." You may have to manually flip the first printed sheet over and feed it again to create each double-sided page for your address book. Google gives you an option to print your Gmail address book. Simply click "Contacts" and then press the "Print" button. You can print the phone number, address and/or email address of each contact in a printer-friendly format. Yahoo! offers a similar option---choose between printing a detailed (all fields) and basic view (name, email, and phone number).
