Things You'll Need:
- Legos
-
Step 1
Establish the baseEstablish the base of the small Lego helicopter. You will need four Lego pieces that angle upward and a 2x3-dimpled Lego block. Position them as they are shown in the photograph.
-
Step 2
Connect the baseConnect the base of the small Lego helicopter with flat Lego pieces. Try to use a long flat piece that extends the entire length of the small Lego helicopter body. If you don't have a piece that long, you can use several flat pieces. Just make sure that the flat Lego pieces cover the seams in the Lego blocks below them.
-
Step 3
Make the tailMake the tail of the small Lego helicopter. Position the Legos as you see in the photograph. Stack two 2x8-dimpled flat Lego pieces on top of each other and place it on top of the last four dimples of the small Lego helicopter base. Place another 2x8-dimpled flat Lego piece on top of that, hanging over by four dimples. Place a four-dimpled flat square at the other end. It helps if you use different colored Legos.
-
Step 4
Use two-dimpled Lego blocksGet three two-dimpled Lego blocks. Position them as you see in the photograph. Place one on the outside edge of the four-dimpled flat square. Place the other two on top of the two Lego pieces that angle upward and outward on the sides of the small Lego helicopter.
-
Step 5
Use angled LegosGet four Lego blocks that angle downward. Make three of them the same color and one clear. Place the clear one at the front of the small Lego helicopter for the windshield. They will angle outward. Place the final angled Lego block at the end of the tail.
-
Step 6
Propeller and enginesAttach the propeller and engines. The propeller goes on top of the two-dimpled Lego block on the back and the sides that angle outward. This is the center of gravity on the small Lego helicopter. Attach two jet engines on the bottom. These act as the props for the small Lego helicopter to rest on. It should balance perfectly.
-
Step 7
Make the propeller bladesMake the propeller blades. Use four 1x8-dimpled flat Lego pieces. Attach these to the end of the propeller assembly. Your small Lego helicopter is now complete.
