How to Use a Radiesthesia Pendulum
Radiesthesia is also known as dowsing, an ancient method of locating water. Some people still use pendulums to practice radiesthesia today, believing quite firmly that they are channeling answers and information from unseen rays or radiation. It is believed that the pendulum is able to communicate information that we're otherwise unable to perceive on our own.

Calibrating your Pendulum
-
1
Hold the pendulum by its string in your dominant hand. Make sure your hand is steady so that the pendulum dangles straight down without moving.
-
2
Ask yourself a question that you know is answered by a clear "Yes." For example, if your eyes are blue, you might ask "Are my eyes blue?" You can ask the question out loud if you want, or just think it silently.
-
-
3
Watch the pendulum. It should either swing or rotate. Take careful note of how it moves: This signals a "Yes" answer.
-
4
Confirm that you receive a consistent yes by asking more questions that you know are answered positively in the affirmative. Observe the pendulum each time: It should move in the "Yes" direction you first observed each time.
-
5
Proceed with a question that you know is clearly answered by a definite "No." For example, if you have blue eyes, you might ask "Do I have green eyes?" Note which way the pendulum swings: This signifies a negative answer.
-
6
Repeat the "No" question, or other questions you know are clearly answered in the negative, until you feel confident and familiar with how the pendulum indicates a negative answer.
Using Your Pendulum
-
7
Grasp the string of the pendulum in your dominant hand and let its head dangle freely.
-
8
Wait until the head of the pendulum hangs straight down without moving.
-
9
Focus on the question you intend to ask. Make it as clear and precise as possible.
-
10
Ask the question out loud if you like. It's perfectly okay to just think it in your head.
-
11
Watch the pendulum. It should move in either the "Yes" direction you discovered earlier or in the "No" direction. If it doesn't move in either direction, the answer is unclear. Try asking a more specific question.

Tips & Warnings
Create your own pendulum by suspending almost any object from a string or light chain. Rings make convenient pendulums because it's easy to tie the end of the string or chain around them.
