How to Make a Daylily and Rose Wedding Bouquet
The bride that desires a large, stunning wedding bouquet will love a combination of daylilies and roses. She can arrange them in her favorite colors. Prepare fresh flower bouquet holder by soaking it overnight in water. The dry foam bouquet holder is ready to begin at any time. If you are using silk flowers, you can make the bouquet ahead of time.

Cut several pieces of leather leaf greenery stems at 3 to 5 inches. Insert around the outer edge of the foam.

Cut three daylilies to a 2- to 3-inch stem length. Insert into the foam.

Cut the stems of three roses at 2 to 3 inches long. Insert into foam at the outer edges of the lilies.

Cut a daylily bud and insert it at the left or right at the top of the foam. Add a second bud in the bottom area of the bouquet. Add more lily blossoms at the top, bottom and sides of the foam. Eyeball the bouquet to see where the blossoms and buds fit well for a balanced look. Hold the bouquet in front of a mirror, and check for any gaps in the flowers.

Fill in the rest of the foam with roses and bits of greenery. You can also use baby's breath or German statice for a filler flower. Snip the filler flower stems, and insert small pieces of them between the flowers.

Tie varying lengths of ribbon, lace or pearl-bead strings to the top of the bouquet-holder handle.

For a presentation or sheaf bouquet, cut all flower stems to the same length. Wrap the bundle of flower stems with a rubber band. Wrap a 1-yard piece of ribbon around the rubber band twice. Tie a knot, then tie into a shoelace bow. Trim the ends of the ribbon on a slant.

Tips & Warnings
A petite bride should use one to three daylily blossoms, and six to eight full roses or one dozen sweetheart roses.
Make sure the flowers are firmly placed into the foam, or they will fall out.
