Dried floral swags are ideal home decorations leaning towards a country design. Dried floral swags can be a variety of colors, from green and red at the holidays to shades of pinks and purples to give a guest room visual charm.   • Dried eucalyptus leaves
  • Floral wire
  • Wire snips

Instructions

    • 1

      Lay out two bunches of dried eucalyptus leaves, one bunch facing to the right and the other bunch facing the left.

      Overlap the stems in the middle and wrap floral wire tightly around the center to hold the two bunches in place. Trim the wire and tuck the ends into the stems.

      Add dried flowers to the greenery using hot glue and a hot glue gun. Apply a bead of glue on the back of the dried flowers and press them to the leaves.

      Place the flowers in a decorative fashion, filling in empty space. Ideal flowers for your dried floral swag include rose buds, heather, lavender and delphinium. Choose complimentary colors for your swag.

      Attach a big colorful bow to the front of your dried floral swag using floral wire. Pull 8 inches of wire through the knot on the bow and attach it to the center of the swag.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can also make a country kitchen swag by attaching a raffia bow and gluing spices, garlic and fruit to the swag along with a variety of earth color flowers.

  • Use precaution when handling a hot glue gun. The glue gets very hot and is known to burn skin.
