How to Make Dog Shoes for Snow
During the winter months, dogs have a lot of strain put on their feet from standing in the ice and snow. Sometimes even walking on treated sidewalks can burn your dog's feet. Fortunately, dog shoes are available to buy at your local store. What's even better is that it is entirely possible, and very simple, to create dog shoes for your pet.

2
Place two of the square rectangles on top of each other so that it looks like one piece of fabric.

3
Sew the two pieces together on the right side, left side, and at the rounded bottom. Leave the top area open. This is where your dog's paw will go in. Do this until you have four sewn shoes.

4
Flip the shoes inside out so that the stitched side is no longer showing.

Slide the shoes onto your dog's paws and fit the Velcro snugly around your dog's foot.
Tips & Warnings
These shoes are designed for large dogs (60-plus lbs). To help fit smaller dogs, such as a chihuahua, cut the fabric approximately 2 by 2 inches. For medium dogs, cut 4 by 4 inches.
Be sure that the shoes are not too tight.
