With the business of life, it is easy to lose track of when bills are due. It can be easy to forget to mail the bill days ahead to ensure that it makes it to the intended recipient on time. Thankfully, many bills, including credit card bills, can be paid online in a matter of minutes. Learn how you can pay your HSBC credit card bill online and never have another missed payment again.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • HSBC credit card
  • Username
  • Password
  • Bank account information
  1. Step 1

Visit the HSBC credit card website and click on the "Register" tab. Follow the screen prompts to setup your online account. Enter your account information including your account number and the last four digits of your Social Security number. Next, enter your HSBC card's security number and expiration date. Once you have entered all the necessary information, create an online ID and password for your account.

  2. Step 2

Click on the "Sign-in" tab to enter your account and view your credit limit, current balance, pending charges, as well as the current payment amount and due date. Review the information for accuracy. If you want a list of specific charges, click on the "Statements" tab. Click on the "Pay My Card Bill" tab to proceed with the bill paying process.

  3. Step 3

Review the bill payment page to see your payment options. Your online payment options will include a standard payment, a rush payment or a recurring payment. The standard payment option does not require a fee and the payment will post to your account on time as long as you pay it before 4pm on the weekday prior to your payment due date. For example, if your payment is due on Tuesday you must make the standard payment by 4pm on Monday. If you miss the window to make a standard payment, make a rush payment. A $12.95 fee is required.

  4. Step 4

Choose the payment date you want your payment to post on and enter your bank account information. Click "Continue." This will bring you to a page that summarizes your payment information. Review the page to make sure all the information is accurate and click to submit the payment.

Tips & Warnings
  • Setting up recurring payments is the most convenient option provided you are sure you will have enough money in your bank account to pay the bill each month.
