The Internet has made searching for a job simple. Craigslist is an inexpensive place for employers to post classified ads, and job seekers can search and apply for jobs for free. Responding to a job ad on Craigslist is as simple as sending an email.

Find the reply address. Some employers list an email address in the text of the classified ad. If there is no address in the text, locate the "Reply To" link at the top left hand corner of the ad.

Click on the "Reply To" link, or paste the email address into a blank email.

Write a short message referencing the job you are applying for and the specific ad that you're responding to.

Attach your resume, cover letter and any requested sample work. Send the email.
