How to Get Lipstick Out of Washed Clothes
Stains can be difficult to remove, especially if the clothes with the stains have already been washed or dried. Lipstick is among one of the hardest stains to remove from clothing, and its bright colors often make it extremely noticeable. Things You'll Need
- Lipstick-stained clothing
- Strong hold hairspray
- Rubbing alcohol
- Glass
- Two soft, thin cloths
- Washer and dryer machine

Soak a clean, thin cloth in room-temperature rubbing alcohol.

Dab the cloth on the lipstick stain, making sure not to rub the lipstick in. After a minute or so of dabbing, the lipstick should start to fade. Keep dabbing the lipstick stain until it disappears.

Add stain remover to the spot and wash the shirt again in the laundry as usual to completely remove the stain. If this method doesn't work, try the hairspray method.

Spray any brand of strong hold hairspray directly onto the lipstick stain. Let it sit for 15 minutes.

Take a clean, thin cloth soaked in warm to hot water. Dab it on the lipstick stain for at least a minute, continually soaking the cloth back in the water. The stain should disappear. Throw in the washer machine and clean as usual.

Tips & Warnings
If these methods do not work to remove the lipstick stain, you may have to take it to a dry cleaner or it may not be able to be removed.
