Instructions

    • 1

Make snow-cone syrup, or use unfrozen freeze pops. To make your own syrup, place 3/4 cup water in a pot and stir in 2 cups sugar. Heat until the sugar dissolves and a syrup forms. Take the mixture off the heat and add a package of unsweetened Kool-Aid. Let mixture cool and put it in a squeeze bottle.

    • 2

Place ice in a smoothie maker and grind it up. Fill the smoothie maker about 3/4 full of ice and grind. You can also use a food processor or blender. If you use a blender, you will need to add water to get it to grind the ice. Place the shaved ice in a bowl in the freezer, until you have enough for your snow cones.

    • 3

Place the shaved or ground-up ice in a paper cone or a cup and squeeze syrup over the top. If you use freeze pops, just cut a corner of the plastic and pour over the ice.
