Things You'll Need:
- Computer
- Internet connection
- Adobe flash player

Step 1
Visit Wal-Mart's official career portal on its web site (see link in Resources). Although you can visit the pertinent areas of the website without the Adobe Flash Player installed, having this software program installed and working allows you to enjoy the embedded video presentation.
-
Step 2
Navigate through the Wal-Mart Careers web site by checking out the list of clickable terms on the left side of the screen. Clickable headings include Corporate Careers, Job Careers, Pharmacy Careers and others. Become familiar with the navigational section. This allows you to go directly to the career choice most suitable to your goals, experience and education.
-
Step 3
Click the career path choice you are interested in to be taken to a page offering more information. For instance, if you click on corporate careers this will take you a page listing more specific job types. Clicking on "Aviation" will give you information on Wal-Mart's need for pilots. Clicking on the "Optometry" will give you information about what it takes to get started in a career in Wal-Mart's optometry sites. This is the section of the web site where you will locate not only job overview information, but also advice on Wal-Mart's internship and training programs.
-
Step 4
Return to the home page for Wal-Mart Careers and click on "Apply for a career." This takes you to a page that allows you to search for open job positions at both Wal-Mart and Sam's Club. This section also gives you information on when and where Wal-Mart holds job recruiting fairs. In addition, you can also find out what kind of benefits and compensation are offered for those who take on Wal-Mart careers. Before actually filing an application, be aware that you will have to sign onto a number of legal agreements spread out over several screens. You will also be asked to provide a user name and password for logging in before you can continue.
