Wreaths are beautiful decorations for any holiday or season. Silk floral wreaths work well for exterior or interior displays. A pink or multi-colored silk rose wreath in a standard circular or heart shape is a perfect gift or handmade decoration for Valentine's Day. The fake pink roses sold in craft and discount stores look real and give you an everlasting wreath that can be hung on a wall or door for years to come. You can make a Valentine's wreath with fake pink roses or any silk flower as a weekend project. You can also change the colors for a wedding wreath.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Foam 10- to 12-inch wreath ring or heart
  • Silk full roses and rosebuds, at least two dozen each
  • Wire cutters
  • Hot glue gun
  • 1 yard half-inch wide ribbon
  1. Step 1

Place foam ring face up on a large work surface.

  2. Step 2

Lay 18 inches of ribbon on to the work surface. Bring the ends together, with the center forming a large loop. Lay the wreath form on top of the center of the ribbon.

  3. Step 3

Pull the two ribbon ends up over the wreath ring and pull through the loop. This secures the ribbon around the top of the wreath on both sides. Tie a knot in the ribbon ends at the middle back of the wreath top. Tie a second knot with a loop in between the knots to create a hanger. Trim the ribbon to hide it behind the wreath, or tie a shoelace bow to finish it.

  4. Step 4

Cut the wire stems of the full-bloom rose blossoms to 2-inch lengths with wire cutters.

  5. Step 5

Push the wire stem of one full bloom rose down into the foam. Be sure it is firmly in place.

  6. Step 6

Push the remaining full-bloom rose stems randomly all over the foam shape. Try to keep them at an even height. If any of them feels wobbly, apply adhesive with a hot glue gun to secure.

  7. Step 7

Cut the rosebud stems at 1-, 1 1/2- and 2 1/4-inch lengths. Push them into any bare areas in the foam wreath. Fill the wreath in well to finish. A pink or white bow is optional.

Tips & Warnings
  • Leaves from the rose can be added. Cut the stems at 1/2 inch and press into the foam. You can place leaves around the outer edge of the wreath by pressing the stems into the foam..
  • Do not press stems in too forcefully, or the foam wreath can break.
