How to Make a Lily Bridal Bouquet
Lilies are a very popular choice for bridal bouquets. Not only are the flowers beautiful, but they hold up well, meaning the bouquet will look as nice at the end of the wedding reception as it did during the ceremony. Long-stemmed calla lilies, which feature slender, almost tube-shape petals, can be used to create a simple but elegant bouquet that the bride cradles in her arm. Use stargazer lilies, which have petals that seem to explode in a fireworks pattern, to create a clutch bouquet.

1
Lay six long-stemmed calla lilies (without leaves) on a table so that all the blossoms are even at the top of the bouquet. Grasp the bottom of one stem and gently pull it down so the blossom is 1 to 2 inches lower than the others. Repeat with the remaining stems to make each blossom slightly lower than the one above it. The blossoms do not need to be evenly spaced, but they should create a gentle curved shape when the stems are held in the crook of the bride's arm.

2
Wrap floral tape around the stems, beginning 2 inches above the bottom of the first stem that was pulled down and continuing to the end of the last stem.

3
Wrap the floral tape with satin ribbon to match the shade of the bride's dress. Make a bow (see Resources section) and tie to the wrapped satin ribbon. Leave long ribbon tails hanging down.

4
Cut the leaves off seven stargazer lilies. Place the flowers in a vase or other container to hold them upright while you are arranging them.
-
5
Choose the flower that will be at the center of the bridal bouquet and cut its stem to a length of 10 inches. Cut the stems of three other flowers to 8 inches, and the remaining three to 6 inches. Arrange the flowers so that the bottom of the stems are even and the blossoms create a rounded bouquet, descending in height from the middle to the edges.

6
Use floral tape to wrap the stems from the bottom of the petals to the bottom of the stems. Finish the bouquet by following instructions in Step 3 of Section 1.
