  • Glue gun
  • Ruler
  • 1-inch width ribbon
  • 1/4-inch width ribbon
  1. Step 1

Measure the length of the top of your barrette or contour hair clip.

  2. Step 2

Cut the 1-inch ribbon to double the size of the length of your barrette or contour hair clip.

  3. Step 3

Glue one edge of the cut ribbon and bring the other edge over to form a loop. Press together firmly.

  4. Step 4

Place a drop of glue in the center of the seam on the inside of the loop. Press both sides together and allow to dry.

  5. Step 5

Fold the ribbon in half away from you lengthwise with the seam toward the back. Holding with one hand, place a drop of glue in the center of the crease. Pinch together until dry.

  8. Step 8

Glue entire top surface of the barrette or contour hair clip and place the bow on top. Press and hold.

  9. Step 9

You are now ready to wear your new bow.
