Instructions

    • 1

Download and install an audio converter software program that works with iTunes files and the WMA format. The TuneClone Audio Converter, Tunebite and DRM Converter are available for free trial downloads. Make sure the program can remove DRM.

    • 2

Open the downloaded program and use its Settings button to set the conversion to WMA. In the pop-up box, create a name for the file you will save. Then select the output folder where it will be saved on your computer and select WMA as the format.

    • 3

Open iTunes, go to the Edit menu and select Preferences. (On a Mac, this is called Special Characters). Go to the Advanced tab and then the Burning tab.

    • 4

Set the iTunes CD Burner. Go to its drop-down list and find your downloaded converter program. Highlight the button labeled Audio CD in the Disc Format list and check off the box for Include CD Text.

    • 5

Choose Create a New Playlist from the iTunes File menu. Transfer all the iTunes files you want to convert into this playlist. Click the Burn Disc button to convert these files from their M4P format to WMA.

    • 6

Return to the downloaded audio converter. The converted files should appear in the program's main window.
