How to Adjust a Bow Sight
Modern sights allow even novice archers to shoot well. However, your sight will still need to be adjusted properly for you to shoot straight and at the right distance. Most bows with pin sights come with a 20-, 30-, 40- and 50-yard pin. Some bows also have a 60-yard pin; some only have a 30-yard pin. However many pins your bow has, they are adjusted the same way.

1
Starting with your 20-yard pin, stand 10 yards from your target. Look through your peep sight, which is the small hole on the bowstring, at your 20-yard pin. Shoot the arrow and observe if your shot is high or low.

If the shot is high, adjust your sight high. Do this by taking your Allen wrench and loosening the screw that is located on the bottom of the pin guard. You can now slide the pin up or down. If the shot is low, adjust your sight low. It is best to shoot at least three arrows before adjusting your sight.

Try adjusting your pins left and right. If you are shooting left, adjust the pin left. Same for if you're shooting too far right. This is sometimes called "chasing your arrow with your pin."
-
4
Step back to 20 yards from the target and repeat the procedure, adjusting your pins accordingly.

5
Now, repeat the process for your 30-yard pin and continue until you have adjusted all the pins.

Tips & Warnings
You can also step back in increments of 5 yards instead of 10 for more accuracy. Try out several different sights before committing to a particular one.
