Instructions

    • 1

Hold two calla lilies at the stem so they face out from each other. Set one flower slightly lower than the other.

    • 2
      Soft rush grass stems.

Take two pieces of thin rush grass and bend the end of each piece into a loop. The loops should be slightly shorter than the tallest calla lily. Position the loops between the two lilies, separate from each other.

    • 3
      Fresh asparagus ferns.

Add a few sprigs of asparagus fern fronds. The sprigs should not come up any higher than halfway up the shortest calla lily.

    • 4

Surround the base of the boutonniere with some rose leaves. Layer the leaves so they overlap slightly. Form a circle around the boutonniere.

    • 5

Wrap floral tape that's the same color as the rose leaves tightly around the base of the boutonniere. Clip off any extra stems so the base is even. Wrap the bottom of the stems with floral tape.

    • 6

Adjust the rose leaves so that some lean out more that others. Pull apart the calla lilies if they were pushed together by the tape. Add a bit of silky ribbon to the stem.
