How to Make Snowflake Table Cloth
Create a pretty snowflake table cloth for the holidays or a winter-themed event that will enhance a table set for a party. This one-of-a-kind project with white snowflakes printed on a blue tablecloth can be used over and over again and will keep its new condition under a clear plastic protective covering. Make the tablecloth for yourself or to give as a gift.
Things You'll Need
- Dark blue cotton tablecloth (any size), solid color
- Rubber snowflake stamps, assorted sizes
- White fabric paint
- Paper plates
- Paper towel
Instructions

1
Lay the tablecloth flat on a work table. Smooth out any wrinkles. If the table is smaller than the tablecloth, work on small areas of the tablecloth, moving it around carefully until the project is completed.
-
2
Pour a little white fabric paint onto the paper plate. There should be just enough paint to coat a snowflake rubber stamp when dipped. If more than one person is doing this project, each one should have her own paper plate with white paint.

-
3
Dip a snowflake rubber stamp onto the paint to coat the bottom, but not dripping. If there is too much paint, lightly stamp a sheet of paper towel to remove some of the paint.
-
4
Lay the stamp on an area of the tablecloth to be printed and press down with your hand to make a snowflake. Pick it up carefully and begin the process again in a random fashion with the stamp on other areas of the tablecloth. It is easier to create this project with no particular design in mind.
-
5
Print snowflakes with different rubber stamps in sizes and designs. When moving on to work on other areas of the tablecloth, make sure the prior areas stamped are dry to keep the distinctive designs and do not smudge.

Tips & Warnings
Practice stamping the snowflakes on colored fabric to know how much paint to apply on the stamp. This project can also be blue snowflakes on a white tablecloth if desired. Silver metallic paint mixed with white also makes an interesting design. A clear plastic covering on the printed tablecloth is suggested to keep it clean.
