Step 1
Find the plug. You have to take all the sheets off the bed so that the mattress is the only thing left on the bed. Then find the plug and open it. The plug should be on the top side of the mattress and near a corner.

Place one end of the hose in the mattress and the other out of a window or into a bathtub. Do not use something shallow, such as a bathroom sink or a kitchen sink. The water can come out faster than the drain can drain and overflow the sink.

Pump the water. An electric pump will make the process of draining the mattress considerably easier. Attach the pump to the hose and turn it on. The water should begin flowing immediately and will flow at a constant rate until the water levels get low.

Suck the water. You can also siphon the water without using a pump by sucking the end of the hose. Wrap your lips around the end of the hose and begin sucking the water through the hose to start the flow. Once the water begins flowing, it should have a decent flow until the water levels get too low.

Step 5
Drain the last bit of water. As the water level drops, pools of water will begin to form in areas where the hose is not located. Grab the mattress and lift it so any water is being pushed toward the hose. Eventually, there will only be a small amount of water left, and the mattress can be moved or discarded.
