If you find dress shirts boring and are looking for an accessory that will help your business attire reflect your style and personality, then trade in your traditional dress shirt for a French cuff shirt, which has no buttons on the cuff. Choose a pair of cufflinks in a design that speaks to your style. Getting the hang of how to put on this accessory is all it takes to add pizazz to your look.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • French cuff shirt
  • Cufflinks
  1. Step 1

Put on the French cuff shirt.

  2. Step 2

Bend one arm at the elbow and place your hand on your shoulder.

  3. Step 3

Use your other hand to line up the two holes on the cuff. Unlatch the vertical shaft and put the cufflink through the holes. Make sure that the ornament is facing outward.

  4. Step 4

Return the shaft to its original position to fasten the cuff.

  5. Step 5

Repeat Step 2 through Step 4 for the other cuff.

Tips & Warnings
  • For a sophisticated, put-together look, choose cufflinks in a color that matches your tie and/or pocket square. For the ultimate personal touch, have your initials engraved on your cufflinks.
