      When running the sheetrock it can be done both vertical and horizontal, the most importation part is to be sure that it is ran tight up against the sheetrock on the ceiling. Screws should be installed so they are just under flush with the sheetrock but before it brakes through the paper on the outside of the sheetrock. NOTE: running the sheetrock horizontal will require extra materials and extra work.

      Next you will need to install all the galvanized steel corner peaces, each steel corner should be screwed in on each side 1' on center. Next Tape and mud the Sheetrock over the corners and screws. This process takes lot of time/labor and is something that only time plus practice will help you do this job fast.

      Sanding the sheetrock, be sure to use safety glasses and a mask because this is a very dusty, dirty mess. Using a [block sander] with an open screened sand paper material [specifically made for sanding sheetrock mud] sand all the tape and mud down smooth with the wall. If your looking for a flawless wall finish you should paint the wall with a thick coat of primer then repeat sanding the walls before painting.

Tips & Warnings

  • 8 screws in every seem, 4 screws into each stud through the center of the sheetrock.
