Step 1
For immediate relief, wash your hands with cold water and soap. This will stop the sweating temporarily.
-
Step 2
Go to your general practice doctor and discuss the problem with your doctor. S/he will probably give you several options. Do not allow the doctor to downplay your problem by saying that everyone's hands sweat. Many people get sweaty palms when they are nervous, or it is too warm. However, most people do not leave paper soaked and illegible when they are writing, or have sweat drip from their hands when they are driving.
-
Step 3
Investigate each option to stope sweaty hands and decide whether any will be appropriate for you to try. Take cost, invasiveness, and convenience into consideration.
-
Step 4
Options for resolving sweaty hands medically will include topical anti-perspirants, Botox, anti-perspirants that you can take by mouth, and surgery.
-
Step 5
Additionally, you can try to stop sweaty hands through self-hypnosis. This will involve repeating the phrase "I used to have sweaty hands, but now they are dry." to yourself, aloud, in the mirror 10 times, at least 3 times a day, for several weeks.

on 7/23/2009 Hi all I used to suffer from excessively sweaty hands and I tried everything from Hydrosal and Secure wipes and stuff. I was too afraid to get Botox treatments.
I eventually had the most success with Iontophoresis but my Drionic cost me a lot of money like $3000.
A friend of mine made their own using a guide at www.sweatinghands.net
It is a lot cheaper and just as effective. I wish I had known about it before I shelled out all the cash.
Oh Well!
