Things You'll Need:
- 1 Cup Almond Meal
- Milk or Heavy Cream
-
Step 1
If you don't want to buy almond meal, 1 cup of almond meal would be equal to about 50 almonds. Just pout the almonds in a blender or food processor until ground down small enough to scrub the skin, but not small enough to become a fine powder.
-
Step 2
Pour the almond meal into a small metal bowl, and grab a spatula or butter knife.
-
Step 3
For this step, if you have dry skin, you should use heavy cream for the next step. If you have normal skin, you should use milk (I would suggest using either whole milk or 2%). For oily or combination skin, use 1% milk, or water.
Take the milk/cream/water, and gently pour in a couple tablespoons and stir the mixture. You want it to become a thick paste, so slowly continue to add a few drops of milk at a time until you get the desired results.
If the almond meal is too big, this won't work. If you think this is the problem, just put the mixture into the blender or food processor and gently pulse the mixture for a second at a time, until it becomes a paste. -
Step 4
Once the mixture is done, allow it to set in the fridge for about 1 minute.
-
Step 5
To use the scrub, just gently massage into your skin as you would with a regular cleanser. Be sure to rinse off with warm water. You can keep any extra mixture in the fridge (covered) just add a few drops of milk/cream/water before using it to help moisten it.
