A raw food diet is a great way to not only lose weight, but cleanse the system of some of the junk that's been eaten over the years. Raw foods are believed, to contain more nutrients and vitamins than cooked food. This has actually been proven, since many cooked foods lose much of their nutritional value. Below is a guide on how to lose weight with a raw food detox diet.

  1. Step 1

    A raw food detox consists of only vegan friendly foods. This means that there not only can be no meats or seafoods, there also can't be any animal by-products. This includes anything with milk in it, eggs, and honey.

  2. Step 2

    None of the foods that you eat can be cooked in any way. Hence why the term raw is used.

  3. Step 3

    Only natural foods can be eaten. This consists of herbs, fruits, vegetables and nuts. Nuts have to be raw, and can't be cooked in any form. They also can't be salted. Salt is not allowed in this detox.

  4. Step 4

    For drinks, the only options are water (try to drink at least 10 glasses a day while on the detox) and freshly made fruit and vegetable juices.

  5. Step 5

    Raw food snacks may seem difficult, but there are quite a few companies out there that actually have made raw food versions of everything from protein bars to candy bars. A few recommendations can be found under Resources.
