Step 1
A raw food detox consists of only vegan friendly foods. This means that there not only can be no meats or seafoods, there also can't be any animal by-products. This includes anything with milk in it, eggs, and honey.

Step 2
None of the foods that you eat can be cooked in any way. Hence why the term raw is used.

Step 3
Only natural foods can be eaten. This consists of herbs, fruits, vegetables and nuts. Nuts have to be raw, and can't be cooked in any form. They also can't be salted. Salt is not allowed in this detox.

Step 4
For drinks, the only options are water (try to drink at least 10 glasses a day while on the detox) and freshly made fruit and vegetable juices.

Raw food snacks may seem difficult, but there are quite a few companies out there that actually have made raw food versions of everything from protein bars to candy bars. A few recommendations can be found under Resources.
