  • Small sauce pan
  1. Step 1

Get out your small sauce pan, salt and pepper, Franks Red hot Buffalo wing sauce, minced garlic and butter.

  2. Step 2

Depending on how many chicken wings you are cooking will determine how much Franks chicken wing sauce you will use, pour the Franks wing sauce into the pan.

  3. Step 3

Start out with one stick of butter and slice into small slices, this will help it melt better and help you determine the perfect mild wing sauce temperature

  4. Step 4

Put a few pats of butter into the sauce pan, just a few you can always add more later.

  5. Step 5

Add a pinch of salt and pepper and a 1/2 tablespoon of minced garlic more or less depending on your taste preference.

  6. Step 6

Over medium to low heat mix the ingredients until all the butter is melted, now you can carefully taste and test the wing sauce recipe to see if it is mild enough for you. If it is to spicy, continue to add pats of butter until you reach the desired temperature.

Once you have the perfect temperature you are ready to dip your buffalo chicken wings in and enjoy your mild wing sauce recipe.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be sure you use the Franks Red Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce and not the original red hot sauce by Franks. The Buffalo Wing Sauce is a milder version of the original.
  • Minced garlic in the jar works better than the dried minced garlic in the spice section.
  • Be careful tasting and testing the wing sauce it can be very hot while cooking.
