This article will show you step by step how to shoot a perfect free throw every time.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A basketball
  • A basketball hoop
  1. Step 1

Place your shooting hand on the top of the ball and place your other hand on the side.

  2. Step 2

Now that your hands are adjusted make sure that the ball is in your finger tips. Make sure the ball is not touching your palm or you will get bad ball rotation.

  3. Step 3

Now, be sure your shooting elbow is tucked in. This will insure the ball fly' s straight instead of going off to the side.

  4. Step 4

Now, make sure your foot (left foot if your a lefty and right foot if your a right handed) is lined up straight to the basket. Put your other foot next to it about shoulder with apart.

  5. Step 5

Okay, were ready to shoot. Bend your knees and on your way up, start to raise the ball towards your head once your almost at the peak of your jump extend your elbow and flick your wrist. (make sure the hand on the side of the ball doesn't do anything but stable the ball on it's way up.) The flicking of you wrist is a very important part of the shoot, it helps to get spin on the ball and that helps the ball go in even if it hits the rim.

  6. Step 6

Were almost done, now that the ball is in the air hold your form and smile to the camera.
