Step 1
Adjust the rope by holding the handles and stepping on the rope
Shorten the rope so the handles reach your armpits
Wear properly fitted shoes, preferably athletic shoes -
Step 2
Hold both rope handles in one hand and swing the rope to develop a feel . Without using the rope, practice jumping.
Finally, put the two together. You'll be on your way. -

Prevent injuries by jumping slow and try not to jump more than a inch off the floor . jump on a flat surface like a parking lot or wood floor not a lawn you could end up twisting a ankle or knee.
