Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Hot water
  • Tea Bag
  1. Step 1

Warm enough water for a cup of tea, about 6-8 ounces either in a microwave on full power for about a minute and a half (not yet boiling) or in a tea kettle. The water needs to be very hot but not scalding.

  2. Step 2

Place the hot water in a mug, tea cup or heat safe drink container (thermos). Place the tea bag in the water. For black tea, let the tea bag steep in the hot water for about 3-4 minutes. For green, white or herbal tea, let the bag steep for about 3-5 minutes. The longer the tea steeps, the stronger it will be.

  3. Step 3

After the tea bag has steeped long enough, remove the bag from the cup of tea. Now you may sweeten your tea with sugar, honey, milk, etc., and enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • If a lighter taste is desired, only steep the tea bag for 2 minutes.
  • Caution, your tea will be hot, be careful when drinking the first few sips.
