Things You'll Need:
- scarf
- hair-pins
-
Step 1
Set up your work-space, set out your brush, a rat-tail comb, your pins, and your scarf.
-
Step 2
Take your scarf and fold it into a width you like. I like to vary my headband width for different looks. When you have your scarf folded in a shape and width you like, pin it in place with your hairpins.
-
Step 3
Brush or comb your hair. Decide how you want to part your hair (on the side, down the middle, or no part) and do so.
-
Step 4
Place the scarf at the point on your head that looks good to you. Too far back, and too far forward are harder positions to keep in place, but with enough pins, they aren't impossible to pull-off.
-
Step 5
Pin the scarf gently in place, being careful not to mess up the part in your hair.
-
Step 6
Make sure to use the pins you used to mark the width to pin the scarf into your hair, or carefully take them off.
-
Step 7
Pull the ends of your scarf under your hair and tie them in a bow or a knot as you prefer. A knot stays better, but a bow is easier to take out after a long day out.
