Go green this Earth Day, it's easier than you think! Follow these simple steps to make your day more Earth friendly.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Save water when you brush your teeth. Fill 2 small glasses with cold water. Use one for rinsing your tooth brush and use the other rinse out your mouth. Doing so is better than keeping the water running the entire time.

  2. Step 2

Men, you can save water when you shave your face. Plug the sink drain then slightly fill the sink with warm water. Use the water to clean off your razor while you shave. You don't use mush water so it doesn't make sense to keep the water running the entire time.

  3. Step 3

Be smart, save money and help the Earth by replacing your shower head with a low-flow showerhead. Every day, three billion gallons of water flow through showerheads in the United States — half of it unnecessarily.

  4. Step 4

Every day, Americans flush 4.8 billion gallons of water down the toilet. Save water the sanitary way when it comes to your toilet. You can save a half-gallon of water per flush with your existing toilet for the cost of a half-gallon of milk. Google "how to convert to a low flush toilet".

  5. Step 5

Not everyone can bike to work, take public transportation or afford a hybrid. Some people can but still choose to drive their gas-guzzling trucks and SUVs. If so, avoid aggressive driving, keep your tires inflated, and try to avoid rush hour. Also try to work from home if possible.

  6. Step 6

Go Green at Work by trying some of the following. Turn off the lights and opening the blinds. Setup your PC to utilize its sleep mode when not in use. Try to reduce your printing. RECYCLE!
