Miniature flower vases filled with flowers and perfume, look a lot nicer than most commercial scented plastic products. And it's a great way to use up those stubs of broken and left over candles.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Miniature Clay flower pots
  • old candle stubs
  • scented wax chips
  • your choice of tiny plastic plants or flowers
  1. Step 1

To melt the old candle stubs use either an old saucepan or use a tin can . Use a pair of pliers to grip the side of the can as you melt and pour the wax.

  2. Step 2

Set out the number of small clay pots you plan to use. Have the plastic flowers handy so you can put them in before the wax hardens. Flowers should be only about 2"-3" tall.

Chop the candles into small chips so they will melt faster. Place them in the can or saucepan , along with the scent chips and place it over heat source. Watch constantly so you can remove it from the heat as soon as it melts.

  3. Step 3

When the wax has melted immediately pour it into the pots. It will harden as it cools and you will need to insert the flowers while the wax is still slightly warm.
That's all- you've found a way to use up those old candle stubs.

Tips & Warnings
  • To make a unique place setting or party seating name tag, insert a plastic fork upside down in the center with the flowers. You can insert the name card between the prongs of the fork.
  • Watch carefully as the wax melts , if it gets too hot it may burst into flames.
