Things You'll Need:
- Strawberry
- Baking Soda
- Peroxide
- Milk
- Apple
- (Not all at once)
-
Step 1
Brush away!A fast and easy way to remove surface stains on your teeth is to crush one ripe strawberry into a pulp. Mix with ½ teaspoon of baking soda. Use a soft toothbrush to spread the mixture onto the teeth. Leave on for 5 minutes, then brush with regular toothpaste to remove the berry mix. Don’t forget to floss. Apply mixture to teeth no more than once a week.
-
Step 2
A great toothpaste substitute is to mix baking soda and peroxide together to form a toothpaste-like paste. Brush onto your teeth for 4 to 5 minutes and then rinse thoroughly. I use this everyday for a healthy white smile, but some sources say to use it no more than once a week.
-
Step 3
Rub it on thereFor a quick spot treatment, dip a q-tip into peroxide and rub onto teeth. You can also take a capful of peroxide and swish in your mouth for 1 to 2 minutes. Just be sure to spit and rinse your mouth a few times so you don’t swallow any.
-
Step 4
This apple should've used more peroxide!Watery foods like apples, celery, pears and carrots trigger saliva which helps to remove stains on teeth by neutralizing acid that causes tooth decay. Apples are known as nature’s toothbrush. An apple a day keeps the dentist away!
-
Step 5
Drink it upMilk helps to wash away any sugar residue on teeth. Sugar can be the main cause of tooth decay, so always drink some milk after eating anything containing large amounts of sugar.
