You can use attraction marketing to get people to come to you, rather than you chasing people. This type of marketing has three parts: (1) Create content to find people in your target market. (2) Get permission to communicate (opt-in list). (3) Provide valuable information that builds a relationship and attracts the person to a specific offer.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Create a basic web of content based on keywords that your target market is searching for. Pick one main keyword to focus on in each piece of content. Use that keyword in your title tag, in anchor text, and sprinkled throughout the text.

  2. Step 2

Link to your lead capture page or sales page from your content.

  3. Step 3

Continue building content and linking to it from as many sources as possible. Set up a linking strategy.

  4. Step 4

Market your content to drive traffic to it. You can e-mail your opt-in list about new content. Also, use social networking and bookmarking sites. Interact genuinely with people; you do not want to appear to care only about yourself.

  5. Step 5

Focus and improve what is getting the best results.

Tips & Warnings
  • Places where you can build content include your own blog or Web site, Squidoo, Hub Pages, eHow, Ezine Articles, and YouTube.
