Step 1
Sign into your Yahoo account to be able to access the Yahoo Games. Then go to the Yahoo Games area. Type in the name of the game you wish to play. For example, type in Spades.

You will then need to follow the on-screen instructions once you are at Yahoo Games.

When you begin Yahoo Games, you start as provisional status. This means you have to play a certain number of times in that particular game to get ranked or rated.

Look for tables that are created by other Yahoo Games players. You want to find a table that has other people with provisional status. On Yahoo Games, provisional players will have a grey square by their name. Find a table that has other grey squares to play people that are also new to Yahoo Games.

If you’re already out of provisional status, select a table with other players with the same color square as you or no more than one level lower than you. You can play others that are up two levels higher than you though to increase your rate level faster.

Make certain you choose a table that is rated. The non-rated tables will not give you a chance to get out of provisional status. Regardless of your rating color, always play at Yahoo Games tables that are rated.

Step 7
Choose a table that has the score set at a moderate level. For example in Yahoo Hearts, you should play to at least 65 points. In Yahoo Domino’s you’d want to play to at least 100. If the points are too low, you can hurt your rate if you run into several bad rounds and need to catch up in the game to take the win or higher place.
