PRINT OUTS: Stop printing out unnecessary documents. Some people do not like to read documents online, they just take print outs and read it. After reading those documents, they just trash it. Make it a habit to read documents online. If you want to save it for future purpose, print online document in pdf format and save it in your computer. Check out http://www.primopdf.com/. Primo Pdf software sits in your printer options and instead of choosing a printer, you can choose this software to save your document in pdf format.

  2. Step 2

RECYCLE DOCUMENTS: There are certain conditions in which even though, you do not want, you have to take print outs and later on you have to discard them. In this situations, instead of throwing these papers in garbage, collect them in different box and give them for recycling.

  3. Step 3
    Handkerchief

PAPER NAPKINS: In the cafeteria, use fewer paper napkins. Use handkerchief instead of paper napkin. I know that it sounds funny, but believe me that if you look at over the year, you will be able to save lot of papers. In western countries, handkerchief is not that popular, but in middle eastern and eastern countries, people always keep handkerchiefs in there pockets.

on 4/18/2009 It's funny, I was thinking about my grandparents always carried around a handkerchief. When we grew up there were no boxes of tissues sitting around. Thanks for the tips in going green. We all need to do our part. We'll be richer for it in more ways than one.
