Leaves are a great item for fall floral arrangements, wreaths, crafts, etc. You can even use them on greeting cards, in scrapbooks, to decorate a gift, whatever! But you need the leaves to stay soft and supple and not dry up. Here's a fun way to preserve a leaf!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Lay a hand towel on your ironing board. Next lay a piece of wax paper on the towel. Then place leaves on the wax paper making sure they do not over lap. Cover the leaves with another piece of wax paper and then lay the other towel on top of that.

  2. Step 2

Turn the iron on the hottest steam setting. Now press the towel and use the steam. Make sure you press the entire towel so you are sure to press all the leaves.

  3. Step 3

When the towels cool a bit remove the towels. Then peel the wax paper off the leaves. The leaves are now covered with wax and they will last a really long time without crumbling or curling. Use them in your next autumn craft!
