You've heard the stories about lost long boyfriends and girlfriends reconnecting after many years and getting married. Well this didn't exactly happen to me, but, I was successful in finding an old boyfriend in another country.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • Paper
  • A airmail stamp
  1. Step 1

Use your sleuthing abilities and pull out any old information you might have about him. I luckily had the name of his old home town. That turned out to be very helpful.

  2. Step 2

Instead of going directly to the international directories, try some other tactics first to narrow things down. I looked up his old town and e-mailed the county clerk to find my old boyfriend. She was very helpful and said she didn't know where he lived but where his brother lived. Yoo Hoo! Pay dirt.

  3. Step 3

That led me to the international directories online. I put in his brothers name and the city and his name, address, and phone popped up instantly. Of course I wasn't home yet. How was I sure that this was really his brother?

  4. Step 4

I did the old fashion thing and wrote a letter to my old boyfriend and put it in an envelope. Then I wrote a letter to his brother with instructions to only pass on the letter if he was not married.

  5. Step 5

Two weeks later I got an e-mail from both my old boyfriend and his brother. Boy was my heart racing. Although this did not end up as a happily ever after scenario, it could for you. You'll only find out if you try it.

Tips & Warnings
  • Try a private investigator if you really are serious about this.
  • You may be greatly disappointed once you meet him again. Don't lose your heart before you find out if he is still the man for you.
  • Make sure he is available. Going after a married man is never a good idea.
