      Find your Dominate Personality Type

Take Personality typing tests to determine your dominate traits.
Are you an Introvert or Extravert? Think of a sliding scale of 1 through 10 1 being totally introvert and 10 totally extravert most people fall somewhere in-between. Understanding your placement on the scale will help you understand how your energy levels are supplied. Introverts regenerate their energy levels alone. They need quiet time and introspection to re-energize. They draw their power from within. That does not mean that an introvert can not be a successful actor or salesperson, it only means that they must have quiet time to regenerate their source. Extraverts re-energize off of sources surrounding them, they like to be around high energy and high activity, again that doesn't mean that an extravert wouldn't make a great novelist or researcher, it only means they will need time around others to re-energize. By understanding what your dominant type is will help you choose a career that feeds your inner source so that you are always well energized. Most of this information can be found by taking the MBTI Myers-Briggs Type Indicator test (see link). Most colleges and job placement centers offer this test, or you can take one yourself on the Internet. (see links) The key for true assessment is being totally honest with yourself when taking the tests. Don't answer the questions how you think you should, or would like to, but how you really feel. E.g. I always wanted to be considered spontaneous, but the reality is, I'm not! Be honest with yourself.

      Take a Interest Inventory test

Take a Interest Inventory test to find your intuitive passions.
Did you ever have a passion for a particular career as a child? Most of us have. Think about that career, likely it will help you identify some key interest characteristics you were intuitively drawn to before life had a chance to confuse you. A teacher, doctor, nurse, mother, or firefighter. Many of these careers have components that excite and drive you. SCII Strong Campbell Interest Inventory test can help you identify some career choice interests. Mine was an oceanographer. I wanted to be the next Jacques Cousteau, research is in my blood, I love solving problems and finding answers. It wasn't really about swimming in the sea and studying fish, it was the discovery of new information and data. I know that now, but for years I felt I had missed my calling. I'm an introvert, but for a decade I was in a high contact sales position. I was extremely successful in sales, not because I enjoyed being around people - I hated it - but because I could find answers and solve my customers problems. Data and things are what excite me - what excites you ? Find that and use it to create the career of your dreams
