After time the grips on golf clubs tend to ware down due to the friction created when using them. Unless you feel like dropping the money to get a new set, replacing the grips is the way to go.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • New Grip
  • Utility knife
  • double sided tape
  • cleaning solvent
  • sturdy working surface
  • A vice
  1. Step 1

    Take the golf club and place it in the vice. Make a cut the entire grip making sure that you are cutting away from you.

  2. Step 2

    Peel the shaft off the golf club. Once the grip is off the club clean the club off with a cleaning solvent, making sure that you remove all the adhesive off the club that was holding the grip on.

  3. Step 3

    Once the club is clean then you can apply the double sided tape. make sure that the entire area of the shaft that is going to be covered by the grip is covered by the double sided tape. Once it is applied pull off the backing of the tape that is protecting the tape.

  4. Step 4

    Pour some of the solvent on the tape so that the grip will slip on easier. Aline the grip up on the club and then slide it on. take the club out of the vice and place the head of the club on the ground making any adjustment needed to. Once the adjustments are made let the golf club sit for a couple hours and dry.
