Get Rid of Plantar Warts on your Feet!

Plantar (planter) Warts are one of the most stubborn common health issue to deal with. They are painful, contagious, and unsightly. But, you can get rid of Planter Warts! (Plantar Warts) I will share with you the possible ways to remove them, and the NEWEST solution touted by the American Medical Association and the Pediatric Doctors. This finally worked for me after fighting the same plantar wart off and on for 36 years.

Difficulty: Easy

Things You'll Need:

  • Various Methods require different supplies or techniques
  1. Step 1
Plantar Warts (some say Planter Warts) are NOT caused by these!

Plantar Warts (some say Planter Warts) are NOT caused by these!

The doctor is the first place people go with a plantar wart. I have done this many times. I've had one frozen off, cut off, radiation applied, and had a dermatologist prescribe me a chemicalto apply nightly. This is the same thing available over the counter. Many times I have gotten rid of my Planter (plantar) war temporarily, but it is difficult to finally get rid of a plantar wart!

You can buy the Salicylic Acid over the Counter; this is what the dermatologist gave me. You apply and scrape, apply and scrape. This is not as difficult if a large callous has not grown over it, which often happens with a Plantar Wart.

  3. Step 3

You can now purchase a Freeze kit at home which is around twenty dollars. It has enough product and tips to do up to around 10 applications. You freeze the wart, and this method is probably the most successful I have used for regular warts like my daughter battled one time on her legs and hands. But it seems to be totally ineffective against plantar warts that have any skin build-up like callouses. It is often irritating to the skin, and is somewhat painful.

  4. Step 4

There are little sticker dots you can use from the store, and these can be somewhat effective, I have found. You place the medicated disc on the center of the wart .... you may need to use several. You then cover with the included patch-type bandage. It seems the pressure of your foot on the floor helps it work. It is the same medication, just on a disc.

  5. Step 5

Sometimes attaching a wet aspirin by taping or a band-aid will get rid of a wart. This seems more effective on fingers. Aspirins are salicylic acid! I helped a friend do this and got rid of a finger wart.

  6. Step 6

The newly-heralded method is cheap and painless! It is particularly useful on children. DUCT tape! Yes I AM from Tennessee and we do Duct-tape everything, but you can research this on line. The AMA is now supporting this! You apply a piece of duct tape and leave it for up to two weeks, replacing as necessary. I replaced mine every day or two. As you pull it off, layers of skin and wart roots come off. I finally got rid of my Plantar Wart from junior high school! It had extensive dead skin callousing on it, and I am 48 years old! I wore duct tape around on my foot for a few months, but I finally got rid of it!

Tips & Warnings
  • Remember You can catch your own wart again from your shoes. I didn't throw all mine away, but You might want to disinfect the ones you wear with a bare foot.
  • Remember I am not a Doctor. Warts are a virus that I was told by a Dr. could, in a rare case, turn into cancer. These ideas are based on my own experience trying to get rid of planter warts.
